[06] Summer Komikon Part 2

(L-R: Michi, me, Sheena, Jose)

I bumped into other orgmates. But we were too busy looking at the stalls that I couldn't take pictures of all of them. Yes, I fail that way. And yes, Jose's pose PWNED us girls with his fierce pose. haha

(L-R: Bruce, Sheena, Michi)

I spot some of my favorite anime characters *ehemSasukeandsowhatifhe'sgay?ehem*. I didn't get to take a picture of it. But there was a sign that said these were hand made. Kinda cool, right? xD I am greatly amused by the Majinboo one. LOL. I wonder how long it took to make one. I wanted to ask the person at the stall. But he looked really scary. O_O Sorry dude, whoever you are, I really got intimidated by your looks. D:

A pile of dorky character hats! Oh how I wish to own one of these. :3 But I need to save tons of money for other things. And the panda-hat that really caught my eye was the bestseller. So a lot of other people had it already. T-T That apple-hat looked really cute too. But yeah, I can do a lot of other things with 250php. D:

Can I say cute? I seriously wanted to buy all these necklaces! But again, I'm saving up. Hmmm, story of my life. The rainbow one was too cute for my poor heart. Unfortunately, I had to walk away empty-handed (but with a calm soul knowing I had my money intact.)

Stuffed toys, kiddie bags, Mickey keychains. Okay, I nearly drooled when I saw these. I can't help it. I have a weakness for all things cute. Most of the time, I have to remind myself that I'm already at the end of my teenage years. O_O But I managed to keep my resolve and avoid buying anything. /cries

After an hour or so of resisting (all things cute) temptations, Riley and I got ourselves some snow cones! I ordered a strawberry one (because I love strawberry and *ehemYunholovesstrawberryandTVXQ'scolorisredehem*). Riley got the blueberry (which I was really happy about because *ehemSuperJunior'scolorisblueehem*).

Because we were tired (and somehow depressed coz we couldn't buy tons of merchandise), we went to eat at the Chocolate Kiss Cafe. The placed seem quite popular. It kinda reminded of Banapple since they had a lot of delicious-looking cakes too. I got myself a slice of their bestseller, Devil's Food cake. For 70php, it was super worth it. Gosh, now I want another one. D: It tasted really really good. /swoons. Okay, one of these days I'll fly to UP just to get a bite of this again. haha

[05] Summer Komikon 2010 Part 1

Yesterday, my (very gay, comicbook enthusiast) friend, Riley invited me to go with him to this year's Summer Komikon. Tbh, it's the first time I've heard of the event. But I'm really glad that I was able to go. The convention was held at UP Diliman's Bahay ng Alumni (although only the first floor was maximize.)

As water-marked, this photo was taken by Jose (my orgmate.) Thanks Jose! LOL
Surprisingly, I saw a lot of schoolmates. Some of them were exhibitors while some were simply guests (like me. xD) And although Komikon was a "Filipino Komiks Convention", most of the comicbooks sold were foreign titles. I don't know how many Batman, Superman or Hulk comics were sold today. But I'm sure it was mighty plenty.

Tons of people were drooling over these precious comicbooks. Sadly, you have to have a fat wallet to get these babies. Riley was pining over a Justice League America 5-piece set. But the seller wanted 500php per piece. So yeah, he ended up walking away from the goodies.

PUGAD BABOY! It's probably the only Filipino comicbook that I read. The humor is really good. And I'm always left amused by the silly artwork. ^^

Sample Filipino comicbook covers. I only recognized Cast and Pasig. I clearly remember reading the first ever Pasig issue (along with other stories) in Culture Crash. That was probably my first encounter with Filipino comics that uses Japanese manga style.

Yes, I just had to take a photo of this. I didn't have the courage to flip through it (given my emotional status c/o TVXQ--or at least what's left of it. D:)

TBC.

[04]

I took this snapshot right before the concert began. 15,000 fans gathered to Stadium Putra just to watch Super Junior perform live. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to be part of that. Super Show 2 in Malaysia was definitely one of the best shows I've ever seen in my life. And I'm really glad that I grabbed this extraordinary opportunity.

My ticket for Super Show 2 in Malaysia. ^^ Complimentary, yo! LOL. Thank you so much to http://www.redstar.com.my and their partners for making that wonderful event happen. Also, a big thanks to Michi, Kino-sshi and all the amazing fans I've met in KL. Gosh, I really want to go back there soon. Maybe for another concert? haha. I guess I should start saving up again!
